The rebirth of the Mizpah is helping to revitalize Tonopah, which is the ancestral hometown where Nancy's great uncle made his home and mined for silver.
We all rode the elevator to the fourth floor. It was like walking back in time to see the furniture and lighting from that era. The feeling in the hallway was like any other hotel. The only activity on the fourth floor was a blue orb that was flashing back and forth between us.
I felt a hand brush across my cheek and mentioned it to the group. But it was as if no one was hearing me. I continued to walk. Then I felt a hand on the back of my neck. A hand brushed my cheek again, and then my heart started pounding in my chest and tears filling my eyes. I heard Jay telling Charlie that he heard a woman crying. I could see the shape of a woman's face over mine as if I were looking through a mask. I saw through gray colored eyes. I turned to Candy and remembered asking her "What is happening?" I could not stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks. I lifted my hand to my face and asked her, "Why am I crying?" I didn't understand. I felt disoriented as if I was not myself, and I wasn't!
